Winter Concert Season

Congratulations on an amazing winter concert! Both orchestras sounded amazing and all of your hard work was evident. The students and staff really enjoyed your performance at the in-school concerts today, as well. I am hoping to do more of these in the future because the audience was well behaved and seemed to have fun.

We will be getting new music in class on Tuesday during AP. Be sure to practice it over winter break so we can get to work on it in January.

Strings on Tuesday

The 7th and 8th grade strings will meet during AP tomorrow. It is cabin day for 6th grade, so you will not have strings at all this week. Have a great time at outdoor ed, 6th graders!

7th and 8th graders will meet during AP. We will be rehearsing music for our in-school grade level concerts on June 16th. Please come prepared with your instruments and music.

Welcome to our blog!

I've decided to start a strings class blog. I think it will be a great way to stay connected with what is going on in strings and to give feedback to you after class each day. (I'm also taking a grad class on how to make a blog, so this is my "class project"!) Check in each day to see what's new in strings and for feedback on our lessons that day. Mayfest!

Congratulations on another successful Mayfest! The performing groups sounded wonderful, the food was tasty and the volunteers were awesome! Thank you to the hard working parents, teachers and students that made our 4th annual community music festival so wonderful. It is always so exciting to see Mayfield alumni come back to play with the orchestra. I am so proud of all of you!
